Beasts and Beauties

We would like to invite you to join us in a world of magic, murder, mystery and myth as we present eight classic folk tales from around Europe.

Beasts and Beauties (stories adapted by Carol Ann Duffy and plays adapted by Melly Still and Tim Supple) was described in the Guardian as providing ‘One of those rare nights in the theatre when some strange alchemy takes place in the dark’.

From well-known tales such as Beauty and the Beast and The Emperor's New Clothes, to the more unusual stories of The Juniper Tree and The Three Wishes, this collection of stories is sure to delight and entertain.

You may think you know these folk tales - but expect the unexpected.
