2nd July 2014

On Sunday 29th June 2014 Islanders young and old flocked to see the most amazing collection of vehicles on display at Victoria College Field, courtesy of the JCG Jacksons Pride and Joy event.
From a Mini Metro to a Bugatti Veron the field was awash with an eclectic mix of loved cars from both past and present decades.

JCG Jacksons Pride and Joy 2014 Winners were:

Mr Taylor, Cox T2 Combi – Best in show

Mr Blake, Rolls Royce – Best Picnic

Mr Tostevin, Austin Healey – Judges Award

Mr Jagger, Alfa Romeo – Judges Award

Mr Reynolds, Lea Francis – Judges Award

Not just for avid car lovers and petrol heads the historic school grounds in St. Saviour saw families enjoying a fantastic and unique day out.

From mouth watering pulled pork sandwiches, courtesy of The Chugging Pig and Ice Cream from Spiral Ices and the best picnic prize won by Mr Blake the atmosphere was truly reminiscent of a day at Goodwood and held in the most amazing setting of College Field.

Leanda Guy, JCG Foundation Director commented: “On behalf of JCG and the Foundation a huge thank you to our Corporate partner Jacksons for their ongoing support and making this super day possible. We were thrilled with the number of cars and spectators that joined us. May I take this opportunity to thank Youth Art Jersey for an afternoon of local talent, the St John’s Ambulance team and a mention to our amazing home team for all their help in making this such a successful event”.
