    Tim Harrison and Bethan Donnelly, from the University of Bristol, delivered 'Spectroscopy in a suitcase' sessions to our A Level Chemistry students on behalf of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Our students had the opportunity to learn about and use UV-visible and infrared spectrometers from specialists in the field.

    Year 9 Hockey Tournament. The weather was rather wet and chilly, but the students played some really great hockey. Four wins and one loss of 1-0 to Le Rocquier left us in 2nd place this year. Well done to all involved.​

    Congratulations to Emily. She has completed her Compulsory 1 and qualified as an elite gymnast, whilst gaining a score that placed her 12th nationally. Well done for all of the hard work and determination involved in reaching such a high standard.​

    We had a feisty netball match against Great Baddow School from the UK on Friday. It was our Year 9A team who played superbly, showing strength and experience to overcome their opponents. The final score was 31-11 to JCG. Determination and team work brought us through this game. Well done to all involved.​

    This morning the students really embraced the opportunity to engage with the future plans for Jersey. From some of the creative and progressive suggestions the girls made today, we wouldn’t be surprised if these decisions will be in their hands in the future. We hope they’ve come away with a new appreciation for the complexities of balancing the needs of our community with the economic and environmental sustainability of the island.​

  • Prize Giving Speaker

    Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE, Olympic Gold medalist captain of GB Hockey team was our speaker at prize giving. She also took some time to coach our 1st XI hockey team. Mrs McAnuff, Head of the Performance Faculty, said: 'she was truly inspiring and gave excellent coaching advice to the girls.' ​
