Jersey College for Girls Foundation Terms and Conditions
for the Immersion Programme
1. Enrolment and Acceptance
Enrolment in the Immersion Programme is contingent upon the submission of all required documents, including application forms, proof of suitable international travel insurance, and any other requested materials.
Acceptance into the programme is based on the applicant’s qualifications and availability of spots. The programme reserves the right to deny admission at its discretion.
2. Programme Fees
All programme fees must be paid in full by the specified deadlines. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your place in the programme.
The programme fee covers tuition, accommodation, meals. Any additional costs, such as personal expenses, optional activities, or transportation, are the responsibility of the student.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to secure the place in the immersion programme. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellations by the participant.
If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment, they must notify the programme in writing. Refunds will be issued according to the following schedule:
o 100% refund if cancellation is received 8 weeks before the start date.
o 50% refund if cancellation is received 4 weeks before the start dat.
o No refund will be provided for cancellation received less than 2 weeks before the start date.
o If you are forced to cancel due to visa denial, your payment will be refunded except for the deposit which is not refundable.
o There will be no refunds for unused portions once immersion has commenced.
o In the event the programme is cancelled by immersion programme, students will receive a full refund of all programme fees relating to any portion of the programme not delivered.
JCG Foundation cannot be held responsible for any delays or cancellation to travel arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case no refunds will be given.
By making either a deposit or final payment to JCG Foundation, you accept all the terms and condition within this document.
4. Code of Conduct
Students are expected to adhere to all rules and regulations of Immersion Programme and to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on themselves and the programme.
Any form of misconduct, including but not limited to, academic dishonesty, harassment, illegal activities, or disruptive behaviour, may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the programme without a refund.
5. Attendance and Participation
Attendance at all scheduled activities, classes, and excursions is mandatory unless otherwise stated. Failure to attend may impact your standing in the programme.
Students are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the programme and complete any required assignments or projects.
6. Accommodation
Students will be provided with accommodation as outlined in the programme details. Any damage to the accommodation will be the responsibility of the student and may result in additional charges.
Students must adhere to the rules and regulations of the accommodation facility, including respecting quiet hours and maintaining cleanliness.
7. Health and Safety
Students are required for the duration of the programme to have suitable international travel insurance.
Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to the programme prior to arrival. The programme will not be held liable for any medical emergencies or conditions that arise during the programme.
Students must follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the programme, including any protocols related to infectious diseases or emergencies.
Parents/Carers consent also to emergency medical treatment, including surgery and/or general anaesthetic, if certified necessary by a doctor and if Parents/Carers cannot be contacted on the emergency numbers provided in time.
8. Travel
Students are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the programme location unless otherwise specified.
The programme is not responsible for any travel disruptions, delays, or cancellations.
9. Liability
The programme is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property that may occur during the course of the programme.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
The programme will collect and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. This data will be used solely for the purposes of administering the programme.
Students’ personal information will not be shared with third parties without their consent, except where required by law.
11. Intellectual Property
Any materials provided during the programme, including course content, presentations, and written materials, remain the intellectual property of immersion programme and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without permission.
12. Amendments
The programme reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as necessary. Any changes will be communicated to students in writing.
13. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance under this agreement (except for payment obligations) due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulations, pandemics, strikes or natural disasters (each a “Force Majeure Event”). The affected party shall notify the other party in writing of such an event and make reasonable efforts to mitigate its impact. If the Force Majeure Event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate this agreement without liability.
14. Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jersey.
15. Acknowledgment
By enrolling in the Immersion Programme, the student and parent/carer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
