Bagatelle Schools Walking Bus

As of Wednesday 22nd April 2026  we will be joining the 'Bagatelle Schools Walking Bus' arranged by Jersey Sport.

A walking bus is a fun, safe way for children to walk to school together under the supervision of responsible adults. Just like a traditional bus route, it follows a set path and timetable, with children able to “hop on” as it passes their location.  It’s a simple idea, but one that is proving highly effective in encouraging active travel.

Why join the walking bus?

  • It’s fun and active, children start their day energised and ready to learn.

  • It builds confidence and road safety awareness in a supportive environment.

  • It reduces congestion and pollution around the school gate.

  • It brings community together, with families supporting one another on the journey.

The Walking Bus will run on Wednesdays in term time from Liberation Square meeting from 07:45 – 08:00, leaving at 08:00.

If you would like your Key Stage 2 child to join the Wednesday Walking Bus, please see below for further information and the code of conduct which will need to be completed and returned to the School Office.
