During their time at JCG, international students stay with carefully selected local families who provide a warm welcome, daily support and a genuine insight into British and Jersey life.
Through shared meals, conversations and family activities, students have endless opportunities to practise English in real-life situations and gain confidence.
Every effort is taken to ensure that our international students are housed in a caring and supportive home where they can fully appreciate the benefits of island life, and maximise their learning experience. All host families undergo rigorous safeguarding checks, including home visits, DBS checks and references to ensure every student’s wellbeing and safety.
Many students say that their host family becomes one of the most memorable parts of their experience.
