A level results

2026 marked another year of exceptional A Level outcomes for JCG students, who achieved a 100% pass rate, with 70% of all grades awarded at A* to B and 92% A* - C.

JCG's value-added performance (the measurement of progress from GCSE to A level) placed the College within the top 25% of schools across the United Kingdom, highlighting the exceptional progress students make during their time at the College.

These results reflect not only academic excellence but also the determination, resilience and ambition demonstrated by students throughout their studies.

Principal Carl Howarth said: "We are immensely proud of our students and all they have achieved. A 100% pass rate and 70% of grades at A* to B are excellent outcomes that reflect the hard work, commitment and perseverance of this exceptional year group.

“What is particularly pleasing is that our value-added performance places us within the top 25% of schools nationally. This demonstrates that students at JCG make exceptional progress from their individual starting points, supported by outstanding teaching, high expectations and a culture that encourages every student to aspire, inquire, excel and belong.

“Today is a celebration not only of academic success, but of the character, resilience and confidence our young women have developed. We congratulate every student on their achievements and wish them every success and happiness as they take their next steps."

Our students will now progress to an impressive range of destinations, including leading universities, careers with Jersey’s foremost employers, and other exciting opportunities across Jersey, the UK and beyond.

The College also paid tribute to the dedication of its teaching and support staff, and to the encouragement provided by parents and carers throughout the students' educational journey.

"These achievements are the result of a collective effort," added Mr Howarth. "We are grateful to our staff, families and the wider College community for the support they provide in helping our students flourish and excel."

JCG remains committed to providing an education that combines academic excellence with personal development, ensuring young women leave the College equipped to lead, contribute and thrive in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.

Carl Howarth, Principal of Jersey College for Girls, said:

"These results are a wonderful achievement for our students and reflect years of hard work, determination and commitment. We are immensely proud of every student, not simply because of the grades they have achieved, but because of the personal growth, resilience and character they have demonstrated throughout their journey."

"An average grade of 7 is an outstanding accomplishment, but perhaps even more significant is the progress our students make while they are with us. Being placed within the top 2% of schools nationally for value-added performance is a powerful endorsement of the quality of teaching, learning and support provided across our College.

"These results are a clear demonstration of the depth of academic excellence that exists at JCG. However, they also reflect something equally important: a strong sense of belonging. Students achieve their best when they feel known, valued and supported. The culture of encouragement, ambition and care that exists throughout our College enables young people to thrive both academically and personally.

"I would like to thank our exceptional staff, whose expertise and dedication make such outcomes possible, and our parents and families for their continued partnership and support. Most importantly, I congratulate our students. Their achievements today open exciting opportunities for the future, and we look forward to seeing them continue their journeys into our Sixth Form and beyond."

The results continue a pattern of sustained excellence, with JCG maintaining consistently high outcomes while ensuring that students are supported and nurtured to make exceptional progress.
