Purpose

The Year 8 and 9 Spanish beginners' curriculum aims to introduce students to the basics of Spanish language and culture. It focuses on developing essential communication skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through engaging activities, students build foundational vocabulary and understand key grammar concepts.

The curriculum also promotes cultural awareness, exposing students to the traditions and histories of Spanish-speaking countries. This approach fosters a love for language learning and prepares students for advanced Spanish studies, equipping them with the confidence to communicate in a globalised world.
