Wellbeing Award for Schools

The College was reassessed in May 2026 for the Wellbeing Award for Schools, and the Award’s lead assessor was ‘delighted to recommend that JCG receive the Wellbeing Award for Schools for an additional three years’.

He noted that the College had “made good use of the Award process to, once again, audit its provision, note strengths and areas for development”.

Based on stakeholder discussions, he observed that “students described how they can easily access support”, staff feel that “leaders and colleagues are supportive and they feel proud to be part of such a successful school’, and that parents ‘were enthusiastic about the breadth of opportunities offered by the school and agreed that staff were always quick to respond to any concerns.”

Strengths identified included the College’s “offer to parents”, “the student leadership programme”, “the increased use of outdoor learning”, “a strong sense of belonging”, and a number of other areas outlined in the full report.
