For the House Poetry competition, Kitty (Y7) wrote about the war in Ukraine.
Her mum was so proud of her she took her to the Sustainable Cooperative, SCOOP, where a recently reunited Ukrainian family were cooking traditional food from their country to sell to raise money for the refugees affected by the war.
Kitty read her poem to them. “It was very emotional, as you can imagine!,” her mum said.
