Durrell Visit

21st April 2016

Members of the Eco Group were fortunate to hear a talk about bears and the threat to their habitats from Anna Shipley at Durrell in school last week and this was followed up with an exciting visit to Durrell.
During the visit, students prepared enrichment food for the bear, Quechua (who is missing time with his partner Bahia as she is nursing the young bear cub born on 3rd January). After preparing the food, students joined the keeper to give Quechua the food packages and were amazed to be so close to a real bear!
