A-Level Biology Trip to Cuba
26 A-Level biologists and 4 teachers headed out to La Isla De Juventud, Cuba for a three week bio-diversity study.
We worked in Punta Frances, a national marine park, surveying manatees and learning about the wildlife of Cuba through lectures and practical experience. We identified birds, butterflies and reptiles and learnt about monitoring techniques.
Diving in the Caribbean Sea was an incredible adventure and we identified turtles, sharks, fish, macro-invertebrates and coral.
There was an opportunity to practise our Cuban dancing and on the way home we went on a tour of Havana. The Cuba Trip was an inspirational experience and thanks to everyone for making it so memorable.
