AI apps recommended by students for students

I was particularly inspired by your insights into the potential of AI in education at JCG. Your work is inspiring, and I am confident that it will have a major impact on your girls.

Dan Fitzpatrick

Hey everyone it’s Millie and Anna,

As a school we have started to explore the use of AI with our learning. We want to make revision simple and not intimidating.

Wondering where to start? Seen so many apps available?

We have come up with a list of a few of our favourites to help get you all started! Each one is different so experiment and see what works for you and your subjects. From flashcards to exam generators all in one place.

AI is the use of artificially intelligence to generate and process information you give it. Please remember that AI can never replace your own originality and may not always be correct. This is why we have recommended for you all to utilise your own notes written in lesson, so you know all the information given is correct!

So, whether you are studying languages, sciences or humanities – give these a go!

Before you dive in please be aware of age restrictions and Terms and Conditions (T's and C's). The apps listed below are not endorsed by the College and consequently have not been subjected to Privacy and Safeguarding scrutiny.

Here are a few tips from us.

Have some awareness of ‘Privacy and Safeguarding’. Please read on…

As with all Apps you should read the Terms and Conditions, T’s and C’s- which you probably don’t.

Therefore when selecting an app…·

  • Please be aware that apps may share your personal information and the content you create.
  • Limit your personal information and use your school email address.
  • If the app uses AI to create content only use your notes and/or information you know to be accurate.
  • If available, use chat and message features with care - best advice not at all.

Why do I need to be careful or vigilant?

Because the information collected can  be used to profile you for either Marketing approaches, Clickbait or Political manipulation.

Chat GPT

The AI know-it-all You can use it to ask questions and summarise notes but be careful of the information you provide it as it needs to be specific and the answers may not always be right! There are demos and starting phrases to help you.
